Also, a lot of folks that start into anamorphics wanna get it right from the very start. It’s impossible. It’s like wanting to get the best brushes and paints before you even get started into painting. Your style and preferences come with experience, so just jump in. Pick something that captures your interest and you’ll grow from there.

Philosopher & tinkererDo not cling on to what you have out of some misplaced sense of duty towards consistency. Allow yourself the chance to change, to think anew, to appreciate things in a different light. Believe in yourself and state your views respectfully yet unapologetically. Be happy to be proven wrong, as that emancipates you from whatever falsehood governed your actions. And when things do not go your way, smile while readying yourself for the challenge ahead.

Runs the #1 website about shoelacesI never like to miss the opportunity to spread the word about the “Granny Knot”. This is probably the most common reason that people’s shoelace bows sit crooked or their shoelaces come loose. Potentially half the world’s population is tying their shoes incorrectly!
The solution is super-simple – and the word is slowly spreading. But if anyone out there is frustrated by their shoelaces and hasn’t yet found the answer, do yourself a favour and search for info on the “Granny Knot”, either via my website or wherever else you search for knowledge nowadays.

Creator of Keyboard MaestroJust to encourage people to automate the things they can. People often think automation is about speeding things up, and it is, but it is also about consistency - something you automate will produce an identical result every time, where doing it manually will introduce little changes that may or may not come back to bite you later. You don’t have to use Keyboard Maestro (you should, of course), but you should be looking at the things you do repetitively, or things which are irritating, or tedious, and looking for ways you can automate them. The joy that comes from hitting a key and then sitting back and watching your computer perform a serious of tedious steps through some web site, between some applications, and finishing up with a nicely polished, always perfect, result is hard to overstate.
